Sorrento structured a preference share investment in the development company behind the Tynagh Energy Plant in Galway. The investment was for a period of 4 years and yielded an annual return of 10%. This investment was redeemed in Q3 2008.

The Oxbridge UK Residential Property Fund No.1 plc
The Oxbridge fund was established to allow investors a low level entry into the UK residential market in diverse locations. The properties held in the fund are located in such places as Edinburgh, Newcastle and Birmingham and are all income generating. This fund will be managed for a 7 year period.

Asset Backed Loan Note
Sorrento has structured a number of Loan Note opportunities for investors over a 3 – 18 month period. These loan notes provide investors with an attractive return, in addition to providing capital cover via its asset base.

The agreements provided the developer with advance equity to complete the development and gave control of the completed assets to the investors should the developer not exercise the option agreement.
